Dana Jaxylykova

Dana Jaxylykova, formerly Abilpeissova, is a 2006 alumna of the Patterson School. She is currently the Director of American Spaces Almaty and PPP (Public-Private Partnership) Coordinator.
 
In her current Director role, she oversees all operations of AS Almaty. This is an outreach, engagement, and Makerspace - an innovative technology center - that promotes cooperation between the United States and Kazakhstan. Additionally, she develops strong networks and partnerships with civil society, entrepreneurs, cultural leaders, educators and students.
 
As the PPP Coordinator, she coordinates the Makerspace Expands! project, the first PPP between the U.S. Diplomatic Mission and Chevron, expanding access to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics) education throughout Kazakhstan by providing innovative programming and opening new Makerspaces. In close collaboration with the U.S. Diplomatic Mission, they develop program strategies and provide recommendations to further develop the program and partnership network.
