George Muns is a 1975 Patterson School graduate that has recently retired after a long career in international business and management. Most of his career has been within the international cruise line industry. His most recent role was as the Director of Trade Marketing for Viking Cruises in Los Angeles, California. Prior to that he acted as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Uniworld Cruises. He began his career in this industry in Miami where he held multiple positions including Partner at Worldwide Travel and Cruise Associated, Vice President of Sales and Administration for Superclub Resorts, Director of Sales at Royal Caribbean Cruises, and AAA as Manager of Cruise Operations. His focus in international management at the Patterson School prepared him for these many leadership positions and started his career by introducing him to his first boss.

Before attending the Patterson School, Mr. Muns matriculated at the University of Mississippi where he majored in English and History. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy for high school. These educational experiences led him to serve in the Army at NATO as a Protocol Specialist and then in Niamey, Niger as a Peace Corp volunteer. Both Mr. Muns and his wife have both been lifelong contributors in the field of international relations, with his wife acting as a CEO of an international non-governmental organization.
