2025 Negotiation Simulation - Korean Peninsula
This fall, students, faculty, and alums participated in the U.S. Army War College's ISCNE simulation on the Korean Peninsula. Teams were set a few days before the event, with students suddenly taking on the role of major superpowers as they navigate the political unrest that is ever bubbling along the DMZ.
The 2025 simulation focused on talks between both South and North Korea as well as their respective allies. Pitched forward by nuclear missile tests, Students delegations representing major nations confronted issues as large as denuclearization and as seemingly small as fishing agreements. Within this broad field of negotiations, students learned the importance of small steps, meaningful conversations, and realistic agreements amidst the more globally trepidatious concerns that often sweep the headlines.
