Experiences Travel, Visits and Outreach
Spring Break Trip
The 35-person cohort of spring uses a few days of Spring Break week to travel to a city outside of Kentucky and will visit a mixture of locations relevant to our concentrations of study. National security facilities, corporations, museums, consulates, and non-profits doing international work are all part of these prepared journeys.
These visits are immersive, but also a time for the cohort to bond, and possibly network. There is no better vehicle for reinforcing your commitment to international education than to see the people doing the work in the place where it happens.

It is not uncommon for students to travel to Washington DC during the semester to attend special events like the Middle East Institute Conference. There they are given a chance to see international dialogue on critical issues happening live. They listen, learn and engage with policy influencers from around the globe who converge on the center of the world's political stage.
In the recent past there have been trips abroad to Doha, Qatar, Japan, Canada and elsewhere. Ask us what what we're planning when you visit.
Day Trips to International Corporations

Entering classes often begin with a visit to Toyota's vehicle production facility (TMMK), or Three Chimneys Farm and follow this with excursions to
